Robert F. Woodcock, CFP^®, ChFC^®, CLU^®

With a career spanning nearly four decades, Bob is a founding member and senior partner of the
Summit Group. Since graduating from the State University of New York in 1985, Bob has been dedicated
to serving clients as a financial planner and investment advisor.

His professional journey began at Equitable, where he developed a foundation in comprehensive
financial planning and asset management. By 1989, he advanced to a leadership role as Senior Vice
President, where he was tasked with expanding the firm’s reach across the Capital Region, Western New
England, and the Hudson Valley. Under his guidance, the business grew into one of the largest financial
planning and asset management firms in the area, supporting over 100 independent financial advisors
and staff. This experience honed his skills in recruiting, training, mentoring, and leading a diverse team
of professionals, while deepening his understanding of the varied and complex needs of clients.

In the years that followed, Bob transitioned from his leadership role to cofound a client-focused practice
alongside a group of colleagues and experienced financial professionals. This multigenerational firm was
built to enhance the client experience, attract, and mentor the next generation of financial advisors, and
ensure the continuity and consistency clients have come to expect over the past four decades.

A personal point of pride for Bob is having his three children—Lauren, Kristopher, and
Samuel—continue the family’s legacy as valued partners at The Summit Group. Together, they bring
over 25 years of combined experience to the practice, ensuring that the firm’s core values endure.

Bob and his wife, Susan, raised their family in Clifton Park, NY, and now call Lake George home,
surrounded by the scenic beauty of the Adirondacks. Together, they enjoy an active lifestyle, skiing,
golfing, hiking, traveling, and spending time with family. Their shared passions not only strengthen their
bond but also provide inspiration for the balance of work and life they encourage in their children.
